This is an area that has been bouldered since the 1970's. The area is made up of fun but short problems. The quality of rock is good but there are not a ton of routes. This is a fun destination of you are in the area, but I would not recommend driving for any extended amount of time to climb here.
To find the boulders, start in the parking lot and walk left to the orange trail, along this trail there are several boulders scattered along the edges of the trail. Some of the Boulders can be seen from the trail but there are other that are a little bit of a walk. There are many fun lines some easy and there is potential for some really hard lines.
Also "If you take the main trial(marked in blue)on the right side of the parking lot, there are well over 20 different boulder with great routes on them. Including a 30 foot high one."
This area has a tradition of exploration. The people who climbed here in the 1970s made the decision not to document any of the climbs and let the place keep the feel of exploration. This is a tradition that needs to be respected.
If you do climb here, please do not document your routes. If any routes are added, they will be deleted by the administrator.
If you boulder here feel free to load some pictures!
Getting There
Mapquest Mount Major State Park. You begin at the same parking lot.
I would like to add to the description if Matt doesn't mind. If you take the main trial(marked in blue)on the right side of the parking lot, there are well over 20 different boulder with great routes on them. Including a 30 foot high one.
