Seasonal Raptor Closure MORE INFO >>>
The Cathedral Spires area, including Block Tower, Cynical Pinnacle, Snake Buttress, the Dome, Hall of Mirrors, Sunshine Wall, and Poe Buttress, are closed annually starting March 1 for raptor nesting. After careful monitoring of nest sites, Jefferson County Open Space opens certain areas of Cathedral Spires and maintain spot closures for active nests through July 31st. Check back periodically during times of closure for updates.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

Keeping climbing areas open and conserving the climbing environment

Description Do you want one more pitch after slab climbing at The Dome/Little Dome? Look no furthur! This pitch is the perfect way to finish the day. Clip 3 bolts as you stem, lieback, or use offwidth techniques to surmount this beautiful climb. This is an old fashioned South Platte 5.9 peppered with a + here and there.
Location Find a huge boulder several hundred feet directly below The Little Dome. One side has a monster chimney splitting it, the other side is the climb you want. The new South Platte guidebook will show you exactly where to find the climb.
Protection 3 bolts and a #3 Camalot are all you need. Those not solid at the grade may want a large cam or Big bro as well.
Owen shows how it's done.
