mosquitos at the red

I'm headed to the red next week and have never been before. I'm psyched. I'm planning to camp and curious about the mosquito situation. I'd like to sleep in my tarp-style megamid tent, though it doesn't do much to keep the bugs out.

Can anyone report on the skeeter situation at the Red right now? Will I want a tent that seals out the little bastards?

Thanks.

It's not really getting cold enough for the bugs to go away at night right now. You're probably going to want something. They aren't too bad, but they are still out.

Camped all last week without a screen and didn't get a bite.

I was just there for a long weekend and came back with maybe a dozen bites. Didn't use any bug spray. I would say you probably won't get hit too bad.

Can't discount the possibility that the bites are from no-see-ums though.
