A route overview of the north face of the Ashes of...

Description

A buttress high in the canyon with a selection of good routes. Well worth the hike, especially when linked with routes on other nearby crags.

Getting There

See the Black Line Buttress approach description. Continue past Black Line Buttress on the main trail, ascending a couple of rough switchbacks. Pass a smaller fin of rock (some routes) to a nice west-facing prow with a couple of visible bolts. This is Ashes of Stone.
