Congrats to Joe Kreidel for his excellent onsite of this route this week!

12a is a fair rating for this nifty route.
Hard crux at the bottom and hard bit over over the roof.
I think the bottom moves are a bit harder than the roof moves.
Height is a big advantage on this route.

OK I was shown some different beta for the bottom bit by the ever clever Canadian. The roof is indeed the crux.

one of my favorite routes in the area. hard, fun moves for the first half of the climb lead to a creative rest before the crux roof. the crux is tricky and technical, and one more challenging part before the anchors.

Really fun route with balance intensive movement throughout. 12a is about right for me, 11d (as per two other ratings) seems like quite the sandbag. However, elevation may have played a large role given that I'm generally a Phoenix climber. Either way, if it's within your limit then definitely give it a go! I personally found the crux to be right after the roof, but I may have been missing a better sequence.

It is a fun route. It wasn't the elevation Austin. It is 12-. The down raters come out if they get it easier than the last 12- they did. I have done the down rating more times than I can count. Onsights often lead to a lower rating from me.

People forget about the fact that now they live in the gym during the week and are working hard routes all the time. When the first 11+ routes were done pull-ups push-ups and sit-ups were the training regimen. Go get on some older 11s and you will find they are often not that hard as we are so much more well trained.
