I'm in Fairhope/Gulf Shores area for the summer.

Looking for somebody to climb things with. Trees/buildings/anything to stay in some sort of shape. Anybody got a home gym?!

As someone who grew up in Fairhope, I will tell you there is no true rock climbing in the area. There is Weatherford's in Pensacola, FL. It's a small wall in the back of a gear store.
If you know someone who goes to South Alabama University, they just opened a new wall in they rec center a couple years ago. I haven't been there yet.

I'd highly recommend making the trip up to Horse Pens 40 and Sandrock from Mobile. Best areas to climb in Alabama. There's a lot of smaller areas up the i59 corridor NE from Bham towards Chattanooga; which of course has a ton of climbing.

Sandrock is nice but you should also check out Little River Canyon. It's on the way up the mountain to Sandrock. Great climbing and definitely worth the trip.

Hey Jim day. I was looking at this thread and I've been trying to find a place to climb around the area. I live in midtown as well and it would be awesome if I could come train in your garage. I look forward to meeting some new folks an hope to get bak to climbing soon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
