I am in the process of revising Rock Climbing: Minnesota and Wisconsin. The new edition will feature color photos and will be available Spring 2012.

I invite everyone to contribute information so that the new edition is as accurate as possible. Please visit the revision web site to learn how to contribute. I need all of your input by December 31, 2010.

Please read the FAQ on that web page for more information about the revision. It's important to note that I won't be using information posted on Mountainproject.com; I need the information directly from individual climbers. Also, please submit your info using the spreadsheets I provide rather than sending me emails. See the FAQ for more info.

I'll be posting occasional progress reports and other guidebook related stuff on my blog and I also have a Facebook page .

Unfortunately I don't have time to visit this forum so I won't be reading any replies to this post.

I'll be visiting Blue Mounds, Taylors Falls, Red Wing, and Devils Lake over the next few weeks to take photos. I hope to see you at the crags.

ICE PIT 2011

Going through all of the documentation it doesn't look like he is adding new areas except for sandstone.

Looking back at what i said... It doesn't make sense to publish areas i was talking about, since those area are already have some access issues and more traffic to those areas will have a negitive effect.

hi

Ice should not be in the MW's "rock" guidebook. All of the Wyalusing routes worth climbing more than once are in Eric's book, Superior Ice.

I would side with Chris on this as well for the "smaller" areas.

That's the beauty of MP; the site will email the replies to you provided you check the magic box. Oh how the wonders of the Internet do amaze. . .
