The rock climbing area known as Towers of Uncertainty is closed to public use due to wildlife activity. The closure is usually in effect from March through June

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Although technically not in the Towers of Uncertainty proper this small formation sits just off the road a short distance from the parking for that area.
The formation is actually a giant boulder with a couple of bolted friction routes which might be worth a stop if in the area and wanting a few more quick ticks.
