Climbing in Mankato is currently operating under a don't ask don't tell policy. It is imperative that climbers in Mankato keep an incredibly low profile at every destination entered.
The Lonely Boulder's property lines are unknown, it may be park, it may be private property. Just in case, I recommend approaching from the East (downside of the hill). Be respectful and keep the usual low profile! :)
Description
This 10 foot high boulder is some weird kind of granite/quartzite (Geologists??) and has some fun problems. Some of the holds are sharp and all the problems are standing starts.
Again, it may or may not lie on private property. Just climb it and be respectful.
Bring a brush!!!
Getting There
For the Lonely boulder, head to the North (right as you come in) on an obvious trail. The boulder will be up and to the left after about 100 yards of hiking in (boulder is about 25 yards off the trail).
