Climbing in Mankato is currently operating under a don't ask don't tell policy. It is imperative that climbers in Mankato keep an incredibly low profile at every destination entered.
Climbing in this area may or may not be trespassing - but nothing is posted. The police say that the land owners up above own to the top of the cliffs, and the city owns below the cliffs, so while you are climbing, you are fine?! :)
Hunt making the heinous descent from the Danger Bo...
Description
The approach to this climb is short but heinous. Be very mindful not to knock rocks loose as you stumble up the loose slope as we don't want stuff ending up on the road where people might hit it.
If anything will get the JBR Bouldering shut down it will be someone knocking a rock loose and having it go out onto the road. Be very very careful if you do plan to visit this boulder!!!
Getting There
This boulder/cliff is a 3 minute walk to the West from the 1 car parking spot. Look up to the right to see the prominent overhanging boulder at the top of a steep gully.
