Lake County Road 6 Area (North Shore, MN)

Description 

Comprised of two crags (plus the states best bouldering) separated by about 4 miles of trail...
These two anorthosite cliffs hold a number of good climbs and sweet locations! Climbs are up to 100 feet.
The rock here is sharp so tape for fingers and a pad for your rope are both good ideas. You are still in the no-chalk zone and fixed gear is non-kosher.

Good camping either at the crags on the SHT or at either of the State Forest Campgrounds in the area - Finland and Ekbeck. Supplies (food and beer) are available in Finland, Silver Bay or Beaver Bay.

Getting There 

Follow highway 61 past Tettegouche and Highway 1 to Lake County road 6. Park in the Superior Hiking Trail parking lot / gravel pit. Section 13 is roughly one mile north on the SHT. Sawmill is roughly 3 miles south on the SHT.
