BETA PHOTO: Tourist Rocks Area

Description

Climb the dihedral, following the series of ledges to the top. A great beginner climb and/or first lead. The large ledges make this route a good choice for practicing multipitch. Be sure to bring at least 25 ft of rope if you are doing it in three pitches.

  • RCM&W #4, p. 155.

Location

From the parking lot/visitor's center, this route lies about 100 yards down the road to the river boat dock on the right. There is a gravel area with several large rock. Sonny and Jaunita is the first dihedral on the right.

Protection

Nuts, Hexes, Cams. Mostly nut sized. Hexes and nuts for the TR setup.
