Description

This great route doesn't make the guidebook, and hence, is almost never done as a link-up. This is a fantastic way to skip the initial crimpy crux on Start of Something Good and climb the rest of the route at 5.11, which (in my opinion) is one of the most classic sections of climbing at the Bluff.

Do the beginning two jumps of Jump Start to the first bolt; traverse right past a bolt to the main line of The Start of Something Good with a couple of moves and get a decent stance with marginal holds. Power past the crux and steady your way to the top while fighting the pump!

Location

Start just left of the boulder that is the start to Start of Something Good; just right of the left end of the Winter Wall.

Protection

Six or Seven bolts. One bolt on Jump Start, one link-up bolt, the rest on SOSG.

Good route. Skips the crux of Start of Something Good, but the traverse from Jump Start is not easy. Holds are a little tough to find, but overall a very fun route. Long!
