| Hey All,
Who out there is familiar with the situation in Hammond, MN at Canidae Cliff? I KNOW the cliff is on private property, and was fairly certain that we had the full consent of the land owner to climb there.
We were climbing there today and were informed by the Wabasha county sheriff that it was unlawful to climb and we were told that we were now warned, and that if he had to come back we would be charged with trespassing, on public land. He said that given the proximity of the cliff to the road, there was no way that we could lawfully climb. The right of way of the road extends 33 feet from the center of the road, thus making the cliff off limits.
Can someone clear this up for me? | FLAG |
