Anybody know where the "Outlet Boulder" with the classic V5/V6 sloping layback boulder problem is located? I walked all over Sylvan without happening upon it. I don't see it listed.

Rockclimbing.com has it listed but locates it "between the outlets" which means nothing to me. Thanks! JW

it was free...

I have a local guide & topo of the area (#163 & still counting)

The rc info probably refers to one rock being named 'Outer Outlet' and the other rock named 'Inner Outlet'. If you need a picture or more details, let me know.

Info source: 'Recommended Climbing Routes in the Needles' by John Page

edit: I found the Boulder....!! (1996: Selected Free Climbs by Dingus McGee & the Last Pioneer Woman - #164) In this topo it appears not to be between the outlets but instead it is outside of the 'Inner Outlet'.

In order from NW to SE toward the Lake:

Outer Outlet
Vetigo View
Inner Outlet
Outlet Boulder
Practice Rock

LAKE

Love this area ~Good luck..!
