The heralded (and free) slideshow, “From Wisconsin to New Hampshire,” will be coming to Wheeler’s Campground on the evening of Saturday, July 5th. We’ll start the show around 9pm, with beers (BYOB) before and after. Evolv will be giving away some climbing schwag before the show.

Wheeler’s is located just south of Baraboo, WI, on Hwy 159, one mile west of Devil’s Lake State Park. For further directions to Wheeler’s Campground, go to their website: http://www.wheelerscampground.com.

Please bring a lawn chair or a blanket, as seating may be at a minimum. We’d love to have you stop by.

Jay - Do you maintain the traditional core values of The Lake?
i.e: are you core DLFA or an affiliate?
If so, I would love to attend your classic affair, but unfortunately, since I am geographically unable to attend, I must most humbley bow out, though with much frustration and disappointment.

Really cool, Jay! Should be a good time.

I'm not totally sure what Jay will be showing, but check out some of these pics from the Knower collection

Not to mention, Jay is a pretty good speaker, too. Should be a great way to spend the evening after climbing at the Lake all day!

Bouldering at Ravenheugh. Simply glorious.

Alistair Donn (climbing) Tim Barnes (spotting?)

Tom-

Looking at the pictures, and reading Jay's posts, he may already be a member of the DLFA but not yet know it (similar to my indoctrination). I leave it to President Bechler to make it official.

Shoot me a message off-list- use leo.herm@gmail.com

I have a couple trips to Denver coming up and would be a blast to open a jackness with you- let's get Sangdahl involved as well.

Leo and Jay,

We must never let the DLFA die.
There are far too few old school climbers clubs with such a great reputation around any more these days.
New members must be indoctrinated in order for the club to survive and pass its wonderful heritage and legacy on down to future generations.

Leo - I'll email you regarding your Denver trip.

Hey Jay
I may try to make the slide show so I could meet the younger generation of lake extremists.

You wanna' look like this when ya get old!

Jay, it would be great to see your slides. For those of us out west, maybe you can come out "on tour" and put one up for the locals. It's another excuse to do a climbing road trip...anyway, have fun!!

Hey Jay,

I second Mattso's proposition about Flagstaff... The Monsoons are just starting, so give it a bit of time.. It is hard to beat early fall in NAZ.

Breakfast of Champions

The slideshow was great. It was fun to hear about all the hard work Jay put into Cold War 5.14a. There was even a video of Jay sending Cold War. He looked very solid on that vid. He talked about how he met his wife Kate and how she was the one that decided to move out to New Hampshire, and Jay just had to follow along (like it was a hard decision)

All in all, it was a fun time.
