Does anyone know where the free camping is in Hueco? Any sort of directions would be helpful, even a general idea would nice. Thanks for the help!

Well back when I went to Hueco a lot there was free camping ALL over the place, it's in the middle of nowhere. Only problem with that is that you were taking your life into your own hands by doing so. As you probably know it's right next to the Mexican border, Juarez... think crime theft drug runners etc... There probably isn't a more dangerous place to go on a climbing trip and look for free camping, cept maybe in downtown Boulder-- the hate dirtbaggers there! Uh get reservations at the park or from the folks who bought Todd Skinner's house near the park. Money well spent

Sugar Glider peeks out of her custom bivi sac.

It's not free, but the Hueco Rock Ranch has probably the best accommodations short of staying in the park (which must be reserved WAY ahead of time and comes with many restrictions such as entry and exit hours etc.). The Rock Ranch is run by a really nice guy named Rob (if I remember right), and there are tables, trash, cooking house, common room, a shower, slacklines, firepits, and more. For $5 a night I think it is well worth your money and you might even make a few friends. Furthermore, we just left our tent pitched with a bunch of camping crap in it and took the car to the park (maybe a 3-4 minute drive) and nobody ever touched our stuff.

Pat, is the Rock Ranch Todd Skinner's old house?

Thanks for the help. I was looking into staying at the rock ranch or just renting an apartment with friends. It just adds up quickly, paying for camping, if your staying a month! I've heard some sketchy stories from people about Juarez! Thanks again for replying, that helped a lot! Maybe i will see you guys out there!
