I agree with Mike. I think Apex has shown both an understanding of, and a respect for, the unique situation as DL. Now if only the boyscout mega-groups could share in that understanding.

If all companies or groups had an open mind like the Apex owner things would be better. In addition to staff training, one training which I feel is not utilized in the midwest and especially at DL is course area training. That is, paying your staff to go scout out optimal teaching areas within the park you are guiding. This has many benefits: one you learn new out of the way areas to conduct a great experiential learning environment, you get to scout the anchor options= faster set-ups(and you look super dialed), and you are out of the high congection areas. When I was guiding in areas such as J-tree, yosemite, etc our course area trainings were invaluable and I would assume that at an area such as DL it would be even more valuable. Please consider this additional training for staff if you are running a program.
