Hey I am looking for a campsite to share at DL? Anyone have any extra space where I can park a VW Jetta and a Tent for Fri. and Sat. Night? I would pay for the privilege. I live in MLPS and will be heading out on Friday to DL. I'm an experienced leader and could be a ropegun/belayer partner for the weekend as well. If you have any room in a campsite, and have extra space for vehicle + tent, let me know! Everything is booked / reserved so I'm not sure how climbers do this...do people just poach a la Yosemite Valley style or what? Any experienced DL's feel free to chime in.

Thanks,

Andrew

Try Wheeler's Campground-- wheelerscampground.com

As for going dirtbag/poaching, the park is really aggro about it. It's hard not to get caught. Not recommended.

I know climbers have stayed at Mirror Lake Park when the camping at DL is full. It's a little bit of a drive but not bad.

Camp at one of the private campgrounds rather than the park. I recommend Wheeler's or green valley; Wheeler's has more to offer.

Support the park service who makes the climbing accessible and available....stay at one of the state parks.

Thanks for the tip about Wheeler's campground. I would love to support the park service but they are completely booked. Beggars can't be choosers.

If anyone would else needs a site, they can crash at mine, only thing I ask is that we split the cost...

Adios,

Andrew
