I am new to Devil's Lake and looking for the cheapest tent camping in the area. The park is all reserved and we may not get a non reserved site. My plan is to camp at Rocky Arbor 19 miles north. Any better, cheaper, and/or closer suggestions? Also, where is the beta-rich climber's hangout?

When climbing at DL, I have always camped at Mirror Lake. Not too far and decent place.

The quietest and nicest, though definitely not the cheapest place to stay is Wheeler's Campground. Very close, convenient, quiet and clean; but you do have to pay for the service. There is an on-site gear store as well.
