I’m planning on heading to Blue Mounds the weekend of June 12th - 14th for a weekend of climbing and am looking for partners.

The idea is to climb a half day on Friday, full day on Saturday and then a half day on Sunday.

If you're interested in meeting up and climbing for the weekend or just for an afternoon let me know!

The MCA is having one of there annual gatherings. It's been said that it can be a good time....

I wouldn't mind helping out with the MCA cleanup but this coming weekend (June 5-8) won't work for me as I'm backpacking.

In addition I'm meeting up with another climber June 12th and 13th for a bit of climbing in Blue Mounds so I figured I'd see if anyone else was going to be in the area.

Well at the dates get closer we'll see what the weather is looking like. If you'll be climbing let me know if you'll be around by Thursday, June 11th so we can be sure and meet up.

Blake,

Don’t' worry about it. The weather at Blue Mounds is looking too uncertain for me to justify a weekend road trip.

Thinking of heading up to Blue Mounds later this month. Would a 50M rope be long enough for most of the top rope routes?

I wish I could answer you but I've never climbed at Blue Mounds. Maybe check out the route database for more information?

I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question.

Popcorn gooooood!!

A 50 meter rope will do ya fine for everything at Blue Mounds. Acute Corner near the Quarry might be close otherwise you'll be good to go. Long pieces of webbing or rope are extremely helpful for toprope setups as the protetction is often far back from the edge of the cliffs.
