Barge on the Meuse River in front of the Château d...

Description

The Meuse River Valley contains the highest concentration of cragging areas in Belgium.

The rock is limestone. Long standing classic routes tend to be very polished.

Freÿr, Dave, and Marche-les-Dames are the popular spots.

A fantastic amount of rock climbing at all grades.

Getting There

Located near the cities of Namur and Dinant.

Approaches to the popular crags are fairly short, usually in minutes.

Climb just left of the buttress to a large ledge. Rappel back down from here, or, continue on easy slab to the top. Most folks rap off....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
