thank you! on second thought ...eating loofah on a regular basis is kinda radical, and strangely manly! if i ate loofah growing up it would definitely make me a better climber, so its actually cheating... Elena Sera Jose

Tip for a non itchy beard: conditioner, or moisturizer and avoid cleaning it with soaps that would dry the skin and hair out. Also I have heard that olive oil can help keep it soft. Or next time you sharpen your knife, wipe the honing tool on your face, the steel filings and oil helps stimulate strong masculine hair growth.

So if you want to be a man you can't wax your taint with a loofahÂ…now it all makes sense. Superclimber

I don't keep myself 'scruffy' or 'manly' when in the woods. Good grooming and hygiene is important to me - in or out of the woods.

I don't need to be dirty or scruffy to look/be 'manly.' LOL.

This is w/o a doubt prob the dumbest thread that I have seen yet on here? You're kidding us - right?

You don't need to wax - just sue an electric shaver. Look at the pics in climbing mags today - Mens Health magazine, athletes, etc - men these days are 'manscaping' and shaving their hair off - plain and simple. Makes for better hygiene as well and easier to gauge how much body fat you have on your body and how you look. NYClimber

Only amateur metrosexuals shave. So archaic.

Um... I believe the thread title was 'scruffy and manly'. So the manscaping approach isn't going to work.
