| Anything within a 3 hour drive of Memphis? Visiting the folks for Christmas, and I'd love to try and get on some rock. | FLAG |

| Jackson Falls near Harrisburg, IL, and Jamestown Crag, near Batesville, AR, are two examples. If you are driving from your posted NC location, however, you might just climb in East TN instead. cheers | FLAG |

| I lived there back in 91, the closest rock is in a Mississippi State Park but climbing was illegal back then. People had climbed there tho, there's a huge 10+ roof crack. Mostly its a small TR area. Did a couple of trips up to Southern IL, it's better then nothing. I never went any farther East, sounds like you'll be driving past the best of TN's climbing. | FLAG |

| Come to Chattanooga if you want to see what TN climbing is about. The Obed is also a really great area. Plenty of 100 ft pitches around in the 5.7-5.13 ranges. :) | FLAG |
