| Stimson Bullitt died at his home in West Seattle on Sunday April 19. He was 89 years old. He was well-known and well-loved among climbers in the Pacific Northwest, not only for his exploits in the mountains, but for his decency, his wit, his dignity, his kindness, his fine writing, his work in social justice and environmental issues, and his humane values. Stimson led an amazing life and was truly a Renaissance man. And, for goodness' sakes, the man could lead 5.10b at the age of 85. He will be missed and his memory treasured by many. | FLAG |
