First ascent of Megatron Falls
Add Photo Printer View
Description Start in the middle of the boulder and ascend face holds for a few moves. Then bust out right to a nice hueco. Ascend the line of huecos to reach a blank section. Traverse left to a nice crimp to gain higher feet. Move back right to another crimp, match hands then go up with the right for the topout. Amazing moderate climb!
Location Start just left of the obvious crack. Descend via the back of the boulder.
Protection Pads and spotters.

If someone knows of a prior first ascent I will be happy to adjust the route. Just let me know.

Hard to say, many climbers have passed through there over the years and Bob Murray has spent more than a few weekends down there.

In situations like this I like to use "FRA" for First Recorded Ascent. Then someone can correct it later if they are certain of a true FA.

In the guide currently being published this boulder is known as Aurora Boulder. The boulder problem is not listed in the guide. So FRA works. I'd be happy to add this to the guide.

Yes, time is running out, but email them to me anyway. Make sure to add the climber and the photographer's name. They have to be 10MP or higher. email@vcrux.com I'll keep you posted. Thanks
