Description Suggest change

Medium Rare is a 30 foot, single pillar of ice forming on a south-facing cliff. The crux is the topout with a couple edges on steep wet polished granite. If the ice is not fully formed, be prepared for back melting and very fragile ice near the top of the pillar. It is not the largest ice in the canyon, but if it's in, it's worth checking out.

Location Suggest change

The route is located in the upper part of the gully just east of "The Nose" in North Cheyenne Canon. Park at the Mid-Columbine Trail parking lot approximately 1 mile from the park entrance. Follow the trail west/up canyon, and after the switchbacks just before The Nose, go north/up the big gully to the base of the falls.

Protection Suggest change

1 screw. There is a large pine tree above for an anchor. I found this line makes a good highball with what could be a terrible fall.
