BETA PHOTO: Leave It to Beaver ascends first the arete & then ...

Description

Begin at the arete on the right side of the Double Overhead Cam dihedral. Climb the arete and, at its top, traverse right and up to a small overlap. Climb past the overlap, and continue up and somewhat left, on the right side of a vertical seam that is crosscut with horizontal edges, to the top of the crag.

Protection

TR from the trees at the top of the crag.

Agreed. I know this one as Widow-maker too. I also think it's worth three stars although it's a little hard for the grade.

Based on comments left by some folks who appear to be locals, have changed the name of this route from Leave it to Beaver, which was the name given to it by Alan Bressler in 1976, to Widowmaker. Have also given it another star, for the same reason. It's been some years since I've climbed this route :-)
