BETA PHOTO: Vittles Wall.

Description

This is a small crag up to 25 ft tall with some bouldering around the corner to the left. You need 40 ft slings for topropes here. It faces ESE. It tends to stay moist after rains/snows.

Getting There

This lies next west of Hammond Pond and is west of the Upper Walls. It is probably best to park close to the south side of Hammond Pond. From the parking south of Hammond Pond, take the dirt road and go left at the first fork. Continue to the next fork and go left at this fork. It is the next crag.

The Vittles Wall is an underappreciated gem that occasionally receives the attention it deserves from curious climbers.
A nice pumpy traverse at the base, several highball climbs from moderate at right to R/X at left. Several key holds flex when pulled upon, so use caution. Some dipshit recently broke off the adorable little tree that had been growing out of it for years. Still a must-visit for me when I'm home in Boston.
