Description 

The secret to Farley climbing. Superb rock quality with some amazing trad and mixed lines. From short perfect splitter 12 crack to dicey slab mixed routes to an overhanging 13 offwidth.


Getting There 

From the Amphitheatre, follow the trail steeply up left, continue past the opening to the Bat Cave and on up. Once you are up the switchbacks, the climbs go out to the right. Cracks like Yosemite Crack and Barn Door are just a couple of the classic lines up on the 2nd tier.

Just about to pull into the crack. I had to get my feet up high and lay back on my arms to get in there. Once in the crack, great foot and hand jams.  The crux (for me) is traversing under that roof you see to the left.

Yosemite Crack 5.10a  Massachusetts : Farley Ledge : The 2nd Tier
Locate the seeping area below a roof (about 15 feet overhead). Route climbs up and right of the roof and continues up the perfect hand crack to its end. P1: Climb up the roof and right. Once you pull the roof, continue up the dihedral and handcrack to its top.
