Anybody been to maple yet this spring? Thinking about heading down this weekend -- curious about the amount of snow on the approaches to pipe dream, etc.

I'm not sure about the actual snow pack, but it isn't like Maple recieves direct sunlight all day...especially The Pipeline...I bet if the snow is low, it will be damn chilly to climb in all the shade...good luck if you go down there...let me know if you do...I'm dying to get down to maple...be safe.

Any updates from those in the know?

We went up last week, there was a lot of snow in the campsites still. The Middle Fork had about a foot of snow when we hiked up it. The left fork had a little snow on the trail and belays but the climbing was dry. We just drove to the top to check out the right fork and camp spots, but it seemed like there was still going to be a decent amount of snow all the way up. School room and surrounding areas were dry for the most part.

I went there last weekend. Conditions were generally pretty good.

Don't know about Pipe Dream, but we climbed in the Left Fork last Friday and the patches of snow were melting fast. There was a little water running through The Pipeline creek bed but shouldn't a problem if you wanted to climb there. The sunny crags were perfect.

How's the road? I'm trying to decide whether I need to bring a four wheel drive vehicle or not tomorrow.

The road's passable to passenger cars as of 4/8/12.

I have reserved and paid for two campsites (8 and 9) in Maple Friday and Sat of memorial day weekend May 25th and May 26th. didn't realize it was memorial day weekend that weekend- Im a dumbass.

Anyways, I am going to take my sporto game elsewhere for that threeday weekend.

If anyone wants to buy a campsite or two off me I'd love to get my money back! let me know if you want a legit site in Maple Friday and Sat night. I paid 25 bucks for two nights per site. PM me if interested.
