Hey saw this and thought I would pass it along. They are going to be putting the bouldering championship up on a live video feed so everyone can watch! Here is a link for more info:

boulderingcomps.com/

The video link is supposed to go active at 8:30 pm EST to my understanding.

Comp was okay. Would have liked to see more sends. They put the Tough Jason Kehl problem as #1, so only 2 people got it. But like 4-5 sent #4??? Women's problems seemed more consistent.

Also was pretty disappointed with the webcast. I think the cameramen had tapped the keg a little too early. I can't count the # of times the announcer was screaming about a great effort going on but the camera was showing the crowd, resting climbers or buildings across the street.

As long as there are climbers on the wall, the cameras should be on them. Nothing Else. Are we hoping to promote the sport or the party?

i would agree about the camera work. it did improve a bit later, but i think overall frustration is a good way to describe it. it was really cool that the did decide to webcast it. hopefully this is one of those things where they learn from their mistakes and turn out with a killer event next year. and maybe other climbing comps will branch out into webcasts. apart from reading about them, and maybe seeing highlight clips, this could be a great way to get more exposure on these events.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
