Any body used them? Do they work?

Seems like it might be nice to have one or two of them for difficult clips on sport routes.

i use mine for stick clipping. i love it for that.

if i climbed closer to my limit i would probably love it for hard redpoint attempts too, but resetting all the triggers would get tedious.

It seems to me that this might be a marketing gimmick. Difficult clips are...difficult. To me the extra effort required to grab a specific draw off of my harness would negate any time saved clipping. Better yet, just practice your clipping ability.

I've always thought these things were kind of a joke.

I've never needed the gate to be open to stick clip a bolt if if you do, find a twig.

My friend has these. If you are projecting a route and set them all up before your pinkpoint attempt they work as intended. However if you have them all open on your harness and go for a redpoint they'll snag onto other draws or whatever else you got around there. This defeats the purpose of their design. If you keep them close, clip into bolt and then set the gate open before throwing your rope in... that also defeats the purpose of easy clipping, as others have said above. Hope that helps.

I've been meaning to get one of these (for novelty sake) for a while, and this thread reminded me, so I went at lunch, and tna!

ROCK mad

WTF is JE1 tested? Is this really not UIAA or CE? I'm not one for regulations in the strictest sense of the word, but certification is nice for the gear i'm hanging on.

I've got one on the bolt end of a 'stiffy' draw. Definately helps for those reachy clips. The gate can be reset one handed pretty easily...

why would you waste your money on these? is clipping really that hard? Practice clipping a draw one handed for half an hour with each hand and you'll never forget it, kinda like riding a bike.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
