BETA PHOTO: Love Gap - Crag Overview
Very large expanse of rock about 100 feet in height.
Lots of high ball boulders scattered around.
Fairly secluded area of the parkway.
Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to MP 16 and then look for a LEFT hand turn onto a gravel road 814.
After about 4/10 of a mile look for a parking area on the right near a driveway. It's basically just a mud parking area.
If no foliage on trees then you can see the cliffs from the road and parking area.
Head straight across road and you'll see a rough trail that'll take you to the base
(caution: trail to the rock verges LEFT off of the logging road....again..do not continue taking logging road or pass gate d/t private property)
The cliffs are actually within park boundaries.
Climbing Season For the All Locations area.
Weather station 6.2 miles from here

6. Jungle Blocks (~5.4, 70') Use the same start as Warm-Up. However at the large tree 15 up, proceed left up a vegetated and bushy gully. Follow it up till it gets steep and turns into cracks and blocks. Follow them up and right to surmount them where the angle slacks off and you can continue over to the anchors at the top of Keelin's Delight. This can provide a way to set a TR on Keelin's Delight if you don't want to lead it or use it as an escape from Ante-Up....[more] Browse More Classics in VA

We've compiled a small guide to Love Gap and it's available to view or download at:
Love Gap: A Climber's Guide
We plan on updating it occasionally and the latest version will always be uploaded there.
note: This dose not include Love Lost. There is another draft guide to that area that others have put out.
