So I am ashamed to say I managed to get not one, but TWO pieces stuck on the first pitch of Werk Supp at Eldo yesterday. I've climbed this route many times and don't know what happened.... think it probably had something to do with that my second was relatively new at cleaning gear and accidentally buried by cams trying to get them out of pretty tight placements. Anyways, the first is a yellow trango cam equivalent to about a #1 camalot that is about 20' off the deck behind a flake; shallow placement but MAN that sucker is in there; just the right kind of Eldo-esque flared pod that can swallow gear. I workd on it for a longg time with 2 nut tools and all I did was manage to snap one of the lever cables. The second piece is a brand new [like week old! :( ] #5 mastercam in a left-facing flake/crack about 35 feet up, it is wayyyy deep in there and I basically gave. I doubt anyone will be able to get these pieces out but if you do... well, really you've earned them..... but if you wanna give em back that would be cool too. Hate to contribute fixed tat to such a popular eldo route, but such is life sometimes haha.
