Lost: Twin Rope on Long's Peak Trail

Lost an almost new bright yellow 110 ft 7.7 Bluewater ice floss on the Long's trail between 3am and 9am Sunday 3/31. Most likely in the trees but might be as far up as halfway between the Chasm Lake Trail junction and Granite Pass. Reward and karma points for its return. Or beer...lots of beer. I'm in Boulder but willing to drive for it's safe return. Message me here or via max(dot)a(dot)perez(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks.

went up last night and took a walk up to treeline...no rope so I figure someone grabbed it on their way up longs on sunday (and I don't blame you). weird cause the 2nd rope was found very near the trailhead on our way out sunday. i can offer beer and my undying gratitude for the rope's return. or enjoy it in good health if you don't feel like returning it.

thanks cjc...no good excuse and already feel pretty stupid about it and don't really need to get into it...just want my rope back if possible since it seems obvious someone grabbed it.

all I can say is it was 4am, had headphones in like I do on early morning slogs, hadn't used this rope carrying system before and the rope loop on the pack loosened up and since they are light I didn't register the drop in weight.

you might want to reconsider rule #1

Sorry, that image was more in response to the comment above about getting your head in the game.

No one ever wants to lose something like a set of twin ropes, but it's always amazing the number of people willing to tell you you're an idiot when something happens.

Erry'body fucks up, don't see the need for shitty posts.

what sucks more is hiking all morning, only to realize you have no ropes to climb with...nightmare.
