Hey friends,

On 3/20, I took a fall on pitch one of West face variation on the monkey and broke my ankle. We splinted it up and bailed for the hospital, but left behind a bunch of gear. Our trip is running short on time, and we've found no easy solo approach to rappel in to the route, so we aren't sure if we'll be able to recover the pro, which includes: c4/x4 0.3, 0.4, 0.75, 1, 2, 3 sizes and a stopper, all with runners and an extra draw on the mid-pitch bolt.

Any help in recovering this gear would be greatly appreciated and rewarded. Please feel free to send me a message for additional contact info or to relay any new information regarding the gear. Thanks in advance.

Have you contacted the rangers? They often collect and hold gear.

Hey Gretchen,

Yeah we contacted The Rangers, Redpoint climbers supply, Rock Hard climbing store, a couple of the local guiding companies, and posted on here and cascadeclimbers.com. Hopefully that produces some results. The local guide services were extremely helpful getting the word out to the local climbing community and other guides. Thanks.

One of the locals/rangers posted it on facebook. So word is out with the local crowd. I would check with anyone staying in the Bivy as well. They might have more up to date info if anyone there grabbed it.

Hey Crit, thanks man. Just more proof about the awesomeness of the locals. That is good to know. Unfortunately, we had to head back home to SLC for work and an ortho appointment. We're hoping anyone staying at the park that happens upon it turns it in to the Rangers or climbing shops. Thanks again for the info. That is pretty rad that word is out.

Cheers!
