If snow conditions allow. Skin up? Snowshoe? In a day? overnight? Is there any other guide other than the Roach? Maybe a winter 14er guide book?

Me on the Summit of Castleton

Here's a guy who did it recently: 14ers.com/php14ers/tripreport.php?trip=13282

Also, I'd pay attention to that site for updated conditions if anyone else is headed that way.
I've done it in winter and it's a long doable day with favorable conditions.
Skis or snowshoes both work, and most of the time on them will be on flatter terrain. The road is long and has large bits of hiking.
Lou Dawson's 14er guidebooks (Southern Edition for Lindsey) often include some info on doing the peaks in winter.
