Looking for partners at Seneca

I'm based in the DC area, but I can make it out there pretty much any time. Weekdays are great because of the lack of crowds. In fact, I'm thinking about heading out this afternoon (7/25) so if you're already there and looking for a partner, shoot me a PM.

I'm safe and competent on multi-pitch, and I know my way around Seneca pretty well. I'd love to lead some easier climbs (5.4-5.6) or follow up more moderate stuff (up to 5.9).

I have a rack and rope.

Hi James

I live in Baltimore and would be interested in a trip to Seneca with you. I'm headed to the Daks Friday til August 20th but email me and I'll get a hold of you when I get back. Besides.. its gotta be toasty there right now!!!

Hello James,
I also prefer Seneca during the week. I have just recently started gear climbing this past May and have completed a 2-day and 2 private sessions with SRCS at the Gendarme. I have only followed with the toughest grade wise being Conn's West and maybe Gunsight to South simply for the exposure aspect. I find the process of being a second with the route cleaning and placement observation to be very gratifying. While I truly enjoy my sessions with the experts at SRCS and certainly plan on more, my wallet maybe could use a little break:) I will for sure be at the Princess Snowbird campground on the labor day weekend(I know, probably be crowded but I promised my wife a camping weekend). That said, the workdays ahead of the holiday could afford an opportunity. I live north of Seneca about 1 1/2 hrs in LaVale MD so I'm faily close. The guide's name I use is Rob Rives if you wanted to check out my ability or lack of. I know he would give a realistic assesment and I would not be in any way put off if he thought I was not ready.
Sorry for the lengthy response, just felt the need to explain my newness.

Kind regards
Doug Smith

I have been wanting to check out Seneca. Let's set something up for mid week. Let me know when you want to climb.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
