I'm taking a family vacation in Boulder the week of 6/20 and have received clearance to take one day to climb on my own, ideally on 6/24 but could perhaps do 6/23 if the weather is better that day.
I will have a full rack, 70m rope and car and am willing to travel an hour or so, though hoping to spend most of the day climbing rather than driving or hiking. Would prefer to swap leads on trad multi-pitch with an experienced partner who can show me some sweet classic climbs, but I am somewhat flexible.
I've been climbing six years and am very safe. I usually climb in the Gunks and am currently leading 8s and reasonably well protected 9s for trad and am happy to follow 5.10 or lead 10 sport. Consistent with the style of the Gunks, I am best at face climbing and roofs and suck at sustained vertical crack climbing, though don't mind following it or leading 7s and soft 8s (which I have done at JTree).
I only get out every three weeks or so, often less, since my daughter was born two years ago, so I am really looking for a super firm commitment to the extent possible. I am willing to climb in pretty crappy weather if necessary.
PS: I plan to climb two short days with my wife, who likes to climb but gets out very rarely, earlier in the week, probably once at the Flatirons and maybe Bastille Crack that Wednesday or something slightly easier.
