I had a couple questions. Consider we are both experienced ice climbers.

Where is the "best" place to find some nice vertical ice. I understand the mountain is forever changing but where's the best bang for your buck?

Is it better to camp on heliotrope ridge or closer to the glacier itself.

We will spend 2 nights there so I'd like to locate camp in a comfortable spot.

We don't intend on going to the summit of baker, just not interested.

Any other helpful beta would be appreciated. Most of the info online including mp only have beta on coleman-deming route none on seracs. From what I've gathered you just go where you feel comfortable and safe.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
