I am based in the south-west of France and coming back to america to visit family in the bay area. During my stay I would like to go climbing, and if possible be introduced to trad climbing. In this aim, I am looking for a group of climbing partners eager to go out climbing during the month of November :-) I already spent a little time climbing in the sonora pass a year ago and would like to move on towards Yosemite.
I would say about myself that I am a mid-experienced climber able to lead climb comfortably up 5.10d (6b in the french system) and probably "get it up there" up to 5.11b (6c in the french system). I could probably follow in top-rop in a little bit higher grades. Since trad-climbing is underdeveloped compared to sport-climbing in France, I know little to nothing in trad-climbing (I did practice a few times cam placement on sport routes but that's it) and I would like to experience trad multi-pitch routes.
I love the yosemite area and would like to have my own personal experience with its local granit but I am down to climb outdoors in areas nearby or even in the bay area.
