Hey All,

I am taking the train to Yosemite from Grand Junction on the 16th. I do not arrive in Merced until 7:06 on the 17th and will not make the last bus to the valley, and therefore have to wait till the following morning to catch the 7:10 bus. Is there anybody that would be willing to host a dirtbag for a night, or know of any cheap places or indiscreet spots I could bivy.

there is a really rad hostel in merced that i stayed at a few years back. i too came in on the train a bit late in the evening and after speaking with the train attendants, they provided me with a number to the hostel. unfortunately i don't remember the name of the hostel, but the older gentleman that ran it picked me up from the station in his truck and dropped me off in the morning before the first bus left for the valley. coffee and toast with homemade jam were on the house, and it was around $15 for the night.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
