Description

ATTENTION:
This region of the Organ Mountain Range is currently CLOSED to the public.

I'm very sorry to report that this area has been closed by the Fort Bliss Military Base. I will continue to keep climbers posted through this post.

This back-country canyon is located on the southern tip of the Organ Mountain Range. This is a new developing area called "The Outback" by most local climbers.

Getting There

Exit 151 off I-10 between El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico take the Main Rd. to Pena Blanca. Past Pena Blanca and continue into Finley Canyon where the road ends (park here). Hike north into Long Canyon, a large monolith boulder called The Nug guards the canyons entrance. More information can be found at: vcrux.wikispaces.com
