local climbers, local food?

Howdy,

I work in the Nevada organic agriculture sector and will be in Vegas for a conference the first week of April. I reside in Reno, NV and as some of you know it is a world apart from the southern part of the state (unless you are I, a sandstone junkie, who gives zero shits about driving eight hours through gorgeous desert).

What I am getting at: aside from stealing away to the Calico Basin for pre conference bouldering, I am aiming to gather information on the southern NV agricultural scene i.e. networking for my job: farmers markets, local farmers, co-ops, etc. And seeing how there is much cross over between rock climbers and eating nutritiously (except for you twinkie pounding, muscle milking, spliff heads that gear up for the send :) ), I figured I would ask the local climbing community.

Any input, would be much appreciated!

Enjoy the spring!

Hey, brush, thanks for helping feed people!

Southern Idaho is a big deal for both big Ag and all the local, organic, small producer, etc. stuff coming in. Got some climbing, too, if you ever want to make a work/play trip up.
