This has been said before, but I'll say it again. This climb may be 5.5, but it's a different 5.5 than, say, Breezy in Eldo. Way different. There are enough features on the face for your left foot, so you don't have to jam the entire way up. And when you're at the end, you've worked and grunted enough that you certainly feel you've accomplished something. I'd do it again.

The Kelman guidebook calls this route Boulder Hop. It also says the previous guide book was mistaken calling it Little Old Crack. Anyway this route and Boulder Hop are the same route. This is a good lead. I am not sure where the hop comes in. Do you hop across to get to the climb or do you hop on to the route? Either way fun route.

Then what is the route that's called Boulder Hop? Boulder Hop starts in the corridor, this starts outside of the corridor. There's no way that this is 5.9, anymore than Boulder Hop is a 5.5.

Brian, I believe Boulder Hop and Little Old Crack both in this area are the same route. Perhaps you are confusing Bolder Hop with Boulder Hopper. I would say this route is solid 5.6.
