Description Suggest change

Sunny spot in an abandoned limestone quarry. It hasn't been mined since the '70's. Most of the walls are very flaky, but there are a few chunks of limestone that are climbable. The base of both quarry sections are littered with 4-8' boulders that are all climbable.

If you are into archaeology, this is a great place to find fossilized shells, sand dollars and coral, as there are fossils in almost every rock you will find out here.

Getting There Suggest change

Anywhere along Elko Road, entering the woods from the East side. Approach is less than 400 yards. The second (rear) quarry is just a few hundred yards east of the front quarry, through the wood line.
