Edit:
Guesse I didn't look deep enough for the "debate". My post is irrelevant now.

I was venting because I thought a coversation under the comments of a picture were completely deleted off the database rendering our opinions even more useless than they all ready are, but in fact was moved into a forum that I didn't take the extra 5 minutes to find.

Often times these conversations will clutter either a route page or picture page and in this situation the picture was entirely deleted and the debate was moved.

I completely agree. I just couldn't find it and of coarse thought it was all deleted. Thanks admins

Regardless, it seems to be standard practice around here to just delete comments without noting in anyway that substance was removed or even alerting the poster. I'm unsure if this was the case here, as I saw there's a link in the photo in question, but that's beside the point. I had several comments deleted a few weeks back without a trace. When I inquired, that was deleted too. I realize the mods are trying to keep things clean, but often times it seems heavily biased. Noting when something has been redacted is easy, courteous, and provides some level of continuity for those reading afterwards.

If you follow the one and only rule we have around here, it won't be an issue.

It would be a nice courtesy to notify the original poster. I have also seen several instances where the OP submits a post "where did my thread go" and the objectionable posting picks right back up on this new thread. Why not notify?

I'm well aware of that Mono, no need to go quoting TOS. I was simply pointing out a courtesy - one that is frequently used on forums such as these. It's pretty standard issue stuff, and benefits more than just the redacted poster, it helps keep the discussion in context for those reading after.

I hope this doesn't get this deleted for not following the rule, sorry guideline, but bullshit. Unless of course you meant - don't be a jerk, discuss anything controversial, question authoratay , or say anything a moderator doesn't like.

At least they don't ban people around here...yet? There is another site that I was banned from a few years ago and was never told why. Admins don't return e-mails, etc...pretty juvenile if you ask me.

I have had all of my emails returned from the admins, and always very quickly. Especially from Leo Paik. He has worked very closely with me to keep ccc organized.

This thread was not started to bash this site or admins. Just seeking answers.

Bashing the admins? Really?
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
