My partner and I got caught in the snow on Lost horse wall. Unfortunately a very new yellow #2 camalot was left first pitch of the swift or possibly at the base. Please let me know if you found it. I'll send a awesome coffee beans your way or beer $. Thanks in advance.

Wish I was in The Monument now, good coffee is hard to come by my way...

Stay warm out there. Braved many storms out that way when I was in grad school. Hit that nice cafe on the corner and the Thai buffet and leave a good tip :)

Why not just go back and get it? Not trying to be sarcastic but how about waiting out the storm (1, 2 days?) then head in for it?

The famous JTree blizzard of '14. We lost a lot of good climbers in this one. Many are frozen to the rock in mid-climb / mid-belay. Sadly, the bodies won't be recovered. It's just too costly/dangerous to get search and rescue safely through 29 Palms (nothing to do with weather, its just a damn sketchy place). In a few years the avalanches will stop, the snow will melt, and the climbers will return. If you come across one of these poor, frozen climbers in mid-route please feel free to sling them for pro. It's what they would have wanted...

Correction: Went back the next morning and it was GONE. Saw foot prints in the snow. I think some people go looking for booty the day after storms. It was 27 degrees and no one was out. Funkhouser, that's funny shit thanks for the laugh and happy new year all!

A new party starts up The Swift every 12 minutes. Usually a couple, arguing about something or another.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
