"Leads 4th, Follows 3rd"???

If an individual lists on their page that they follow 4th on trad, for example, what does that mean? I only know 3rd, 4th, 5th, as they refer to terrain. Thanks!

It means they climb in a party of 4 and like to bring up the rear.

Well that's not very creative of them. Hmmm, how about Leads: it's my stinking rope and rack Follows: if you're buying after : )

Or perhaps we do this because we are making a comment on grade chasing.

Thanks for this thread folks. It reminded me to update my name and profile. For me at least those grades are a way of communicating, "I'm just not climbing right now."

Hey, stalking people on mp is not cool. Unless it's to see if they want to lead some of those sweet hand cracks.
